La ciudad de San Martín de los Andes, fundada en 1898 esta situada a orillas del lago Lacar, en la Provincia de Neuquén, Argentina, a 30 Kms de la frontera con Chile.
Este centro turístico, se caracteriza por la paz y la tranquilidad que le brindan sus grandes extensiones verdes y las 400.000 hectáreas del Parque Nacional Lanín. Al Sur Oeste de la Pcia. del Neuquén y a sólo 20 km de San Martín de Los Andes, por una ruta paisajística de incomparable belleza, conocida como "de los Siete Lagos". Por la Ruta Nac.19, se alcanza la base del Cerro Chapelco a 1.250 m.s.n.m. y al Centro de Deportes Invernales de San Martín de los Andes. Un centro de esquí de primera línea, con medios de elevación que aseguran rapidez y eficiencia, con now Pass, un sistema de acceso a los medios de elevación totalmente computarizado. La práctica de Snowboard y Ski de fondo son también posibles en Chapelco, un centro de Ski para toda la familia, con Club Infantil, Gúardería y Nursery. Ruta Corredor Siete Lagos, Lago Lolog, Villa Quila Quina, Hua Hum, Termas de Epulaufen y si lo desea hasta el límite con Chile, son sólo algunos de los circuitos a su disposición.
